Christopher Tanis, CPA

Founder | Chief Operating Officer

Chris earned his CPA designation in 1991 while working for the international accounting firm KPMG out of the Philadelphia business unit. In 1993, Chris left KPMG and joined another CPA in forming what would later become Tanis Group LLC, an accounting firm focused on individuals and closely held businesses.


Richard Brown, JD


Rick is a graduate of Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management (1982) and Pace University School of Law (1984). He is licensed to practice law in both New Jersey and New York and is currently a member of the American, New Jersey and New York Bar Associations.

Jonathan Tanis

Director of Product Development

Jonathan started with BeyondPay in 2007 after graduating from Grove City College with a B.S. in Accounting and Computer Science. Always looking for ways of leveraging technology to solve business problems, he began his role helping new customers leverage our services and converting them off of other providers. He also began evaluating and studying the various payroll and hr related technologies out in the market.


Michael Lynch

Director of Professional Services

Michael graduated with a Degree in Business Management from Raritan Valley College and a Degree in Computer Networking and Security from The Chubb Institute. Michael began his professional career in 2001 at Paychex, Inc. a Fortune 500 payroll, human resource and benefits outsourcing company. Michael held several positions during his 11 years at Paychex including the last 4 years leading a team of payroll professionals accountable for producing key financial and client service results.

Graham Watts

Director of Payroll Operations

20 years of Payroll focused customer service, leadership development and management, and continuous process improvement. Graham graduated Raritan Valley College in 1997 with a degree in business administration.

Jason Zaun, SPHR

Director of HR Services

Jason is a 1993 graduate of Shippensburg University where he earned a BSBA degree. He obtained his SPHR certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute in 2013. Jason started his professional career at Adecco USA. During his time at Adecco, Jason quickly grew the branch into a top 20 branch in the nation by securing and servicing several key local Lehigh Valley employers. Jason was also instrumental in developing 10 branch employees through his own mentoring program.

Cristen Justiss

Regional Sales Manager

Native Texan and New Jersey transplant, Cristen Justiss, blends passion, knowledge, and consultation to ensure a more personable HRIS evaluation experience. As BeyondPay’s Regional Sales Manager, she is readily available to help you gain further efficiency in your workforce management processes. Cristen thrives in problem solving by getting to know your company processes and goals.
